My Story
The Beginning
I graduated from the German University in Cairo (GUC) in 2008 after I finished my studies at the faculty of Digital Media Engineering and Technology, which focuses on software development in general & media applications implementation in particular. After graduation I decided to work in the IT consulting field since I was more interested in working on projects abroad to get exposed to a global experience and introduced to huge enterprises (clients) instead of just sitting behind a desk writing code, and eventually I was hired as a Systems Engineer by one of the leading IT consulting firms; where I delivered IT solutions to clients and trained stakeholders on using these newly adopted solutions in their respective environments.
The Change
At the beginning of 2010, besides my full-time job as a Systems Engineer, I joined one of the world’s top direct selling companies as a part-time side business. The company sells consumer products through an e-commerce platform using interactive marketing, and my role was to market for the business opportunity –the franchise- and the products by conducting one-on-one meetings and group presentations to prospects and potential partners on daily basis targeting the expansion of both the distributers network and the customer base. I succeeded in growing and leading a team of around 100 passionate distributers of different ages and backgrounds that sold the company’s products and services to thousands of customers in Egypt, Qatar, KSA and USA.
As part of my role as a team leader, I trained and coached newly recruited team members daily and helped many people grow, I also conducted & delivered a weekly 2-hour training to my team that was mainly focused on the development of their communication skills, business skills and direct sales skills. In addition to the group trainings, I coached people with leadership potential one-on-one to deliver direct sales targets, motivated them when facing challenges and inspired them to inspire their respective teams. Together with my team; we achieved record sales revenues for the company in 3 years.
The Impact
In 2013, I decided to leverage my developed interpersonal and people skills as well as the business aspect I acquired along with my technical background, all combined together in my IT engineering career, so I joined the business development team of the leading IT and Digital solutions and consultancy provider in the region; where I got mentored by the best. As a Presales Consultant, I got the chance to excel, expand my expertise in different technologies, and help the organization win several strategic opportunities and business deals through building winning proposals and delivering must-close-deal presentations to customers while maintaining true relationships with key stakeholders.
The Self-Discovery
Throughout my life I have been witnessing the on-going personal growth and change of myself as well as others’, which made my passion towards personal development and my belief in the unleashed strength of humans something that can’t be neglected. I’m now following this passion by sharing my personal experiences in life, business, personal change and human relations with the world. I deliver interpersonal and inspirational training sessions, to individuals, start-ups and corporates, to help as many people as possible grow.
